Native iPhone Sync
New to iPhones and iPod Touches as of July, 2008 is version 2.x of its software, which enables
ActiveSync to 01.com's Zimbra servers. It enables real-time, two-way synchronization over the air (OTA) also of calendar and contacts data, push mail, *and* iZimbra, detailed below. Additionally, with iPhone 3.0 (3.x) software due in the summer of 2009, 01.com supports CalDav for enchanced calendar syncing.
Provided free to 01.com clients selecting annual terms, Zimbra Mobile licensing, also known as Active Sync support, is required for native iPhone sync. Those customers who choose the annual Term upon sign-up will have Zimbra mobile activated automatically on all of their mailboxes, because it's provided free of additional charge for all mailboxes, while those customers that choose to upgrade to annual terms from month-to-month terms must use the
online help desk to request Zimbra mobile be enabled on select mailboxes.Note that personal and business hosting customers with month-to-month terms require the optional Zimbra Mobile licensing to activate ActiveSync
support. Zimbra Mobile can be activated for select mailboxes after
sign-up by request from the 01.com online
help desk ticketing system.
