Zimbra 5 uses iZimbra, and enables access to a specialized, advanced Zimbra client that delivers complete access to all of your data in Zimbra, including and not limited to mail, calendars and contacts, through the Safari web browser included with the iPhone. Of course, you also have secure IMAP and POP access for Mail, too!

Licensing for iZimbra, accessible through the Safari web browser on the iPhone, is provided free-of-charge for 01.com Personal and Business hosting clients.

New to iPhones and iPod Touches as of July 11, 2008 is version 2.0 of its software, which enables ActiveSync to 01.com's Zimbra servers.  It enables real-time, two-way synchronization over the air (OTA) also of calendar and contacts data, and push mail (beware the drain on battery life on this first release of the iPhone software with this new capability).

Monthly personal and business hosting customers require the optional Zimbra Mobile licensing to activate ActiveSync support.  Zimbra Mobile can be activated for select mailboxes after sign-up by request from the 01.com online help desk ticketing system.  Pricing for this ActiveSync support/Zimbra mobile licensing addition can be found in the business hosting calculator, located at the bottom left of the 01.com Zimbra hosting secure order form.

Please note customers opting for the prepaid annual Zimbra hosting Term, where offered, receive Zimbra Mobile licensing free-of-additional charge. Those customers who choose the annual Term upon sign-up will have Zimbra mobile activated automatically on all of their mailboxes, since it's provided free, while those customers that choose to upgrade from monthly hosting will still have to request that Zimbra mobile be enabled on their mailboxes.
