Business Pricing Calculator & Personal Hosting Pricing
Your Own Domain, or Ours?Please note that because of 01.com's social mission, organizations qualifying as not-for-profit (501c3), educational or governmental, and demonstrating need, may apply directly to 01.com for a not-for-profit discount. The only other discounts available for cloud hosting services are those based on volume purchases for month-to-month terms, as specified below and already in our pricing calculator. For a custom solution, see our managed services. 1. Personal Hosting. Use our domain: yourname@zimbra.01.com. Starting from $3.99/month with a $10 activation fee, our Personal service is designed just for individuals who want to use Zimbra, and simply need an address to which they can forward or otherwise centralize/synchronize their email, and even sync with a PDA over-the-air. Use Zimbra's Identity feature to send mail from your zimbra.01.com webmail account as though it's any email account you own! It's also great for people that want to test Zimbra out, get an account and be up-and-running quickly. We provide a free 30-day, no obligation trial, and terms are only month-month thereafter. The calculator does not provide Personal Hosting Pricing, only Business Hosting pricing. Go to the Personal Pricing Matrix. Also note that Personal Hosting is only available with month-to-month terms. 2. Business Hosting. Use your domain: yourname@yourcompany.com. Annual terms start from $49.99/mailbox with 2GB, ActiveSync, and no activation fee, while our month-to-month option starts at $6.99 with a $10 activation fee with 1GB, our Business hosting service is designed for companies with as few as 1 employee, up to thousands. Business Hosting not only gives you the ability to brand Zimbra services with your own domain, but also your own logo, and delivers access to a secure web administrator that allows you to add more mailboxes, and change their passwords and quotas, on the fly, any time, independently, as though you are running your own server. But without the hassle. Just like our Personal hosting, we provide a free 30-day, no obligation trial, and terms are only month-to-month thereafter. The calculator provides Business Hosting pricing. Upon sign-up, to validate your credit card payment information, you will be charged $1.00 (US) and refunded that same $1.00 (US) immediately, and this first transaction will not show up on your credit card statement. Note that activation fees for month-to-month terms are only charged after the first 30 days of your free trial, and only if you decide to keep our service. Return to Top | Business vs. Personal Hosting Features About The Business Pricing CalculatorThe 01.com Business Zimbra Hosting Pricing Calculator was created by 01.com to help customers and prospective customers determine the price of service for the 01.com shared hosting environment. The 01.com shared hosting environment is a turn-key Zimbra hosting solution for anyone from an individual to organizations with hundreds and even thousands of team members. Just like our Personal Hosting, the first 30 days are free. What about after that? The calculator helps you figure that out! It accepts your input and calculates the annual or monthly fees for the services you decide to use, starting with: total number of Mailboxes, total amount of space (aka GB or gigabytes), total number of ActiveSync devices (aka Zimbra Mobile, providing iPhone, Windows Mobile or Palm over-the-air syncing for calendar and contacts), total number of Blackberries you'd like to sync, and the total number of mailboxes for which you'd like to license Legal Compliance (aka Zimbra Archiving and Discovery). For month-to-month terms, the calculator automatically applies discounts based on the volume of each service you buy. The calculator also helps you obtain accurate pricing, and will reset itself, or request you input numbers, or make assumptions about what you want based on your input, and what combinations of system resources it's possible to order. For example, you can't have more Blackberry and Windows Mobile licenses than you have mailboxes! Also, there are certain minimums and maximums the calculator is programmed to maintain. If you need more or less of any system resource than can be calculated, or if you need a formal quote, proposal or response to an RFI, please contact us directly. If you don't have Flash loaded in your browser, and don't want to load it, you can refer to our hosting pricing matrix below instead. Why do we need the calculator? Because at 01.com we offer an innovative system that enables you, the customer, to configure your own Zimbra server without arbitrary limitations. Need another mailbox, or another 20? Add them yourself -- if you have annual terms, you will be charged only the prorated amount for your services until your current term's end; if you have month-to-month terms, your price will rise accordingly the next month. Have month-to-month terms and want to be charged for fewer? -- Delete those mailboxes yourself and your next month's price drops accordingly. Change your mailbox quotas to up to 11GB on any individual mailbox (we can raise them higher by request), and as low as 100MB after your first account. Of course, this doesn't mean you're on your own, either! You are free to configure your service yourself, and we are available to assist you as you need it, 24x7. Our system automatically analyzes your configuration monthly, and sends you a report a week prior to the end of the month, when another analysis is performed, and you're charged for your current configuration. Such a flexible system means you may need to test different configurations to meet your budget, and tweak your configuration accordingly, so we built the calculator to help you independently understand what the financial consequences will be of adding, changing and deleting services. You will receive a courtesy analysis monthly on the 21st. After your first 30 days, you will also receive a billing analysis on the 28th of each month, invoiced by email, and on or about the second of the new month you will automatically be charged for service. 01.com cloud hosting reporting and billing overview
If you select prepaid annual terms, after your first free 30 days you will be billed at the beginning of the month for the next year of service, and all activation fees are waived. If you select month-to-month terms, then on your first charge, you will see a pro-rated charge for the time between 30 days after your sign-up and the month of your first billing analysis. You will see your setup charges. And you will see a charge for the next month of service. A note on when to add services: Immediately after the 28th is a good time to add services. That gives you about 30 days free to use the services before they get picked up by our system and added to your charges, along with any new setup fees for those services. If you have month-to-month terms and delete services that have activation fees, such as mailboxes, in one month, and add them again in a later month, you will be charged setup fees again; there is not a fee to delete services such as mailboxes, you'll simply be charged less upon your next analysis, in the next month. After the first 30 day, no obligation trial, month-to-month terms still provide the option to cancel your services at any time, not costing you more than what you paid for a single month of service. Other services such as and not limited to professional services, dedicated servers and remote systems administration, support and maintenance plans are also extra, as you may order them. Total MailboxesThis is your primary service variable, it's how many mailboxes and resources you reserve for your organization's use. A mailbox is any user mailbox into which you receive mail, such as you@yourdomain.com, and a resource is any Zimbra resource you intend to schedule, such as conferenceroom1@yourcompany.com. Note that distribution lists (aka Lists and mailing lists) such as sales@yourcompany.com that go to multiple people, or out to external addresses such as you@gmail.com, and aliases, such as info@yourcompany.com that go to one other person, like you@yourcompany.com, are free, and unlimited. You must have at least one mailbox. With annual terms, mailboxes are a flat $49.99 ea/year regardless of volume, no activation fees, and include 2 GB of space (see below), and ActiveSync licensing for every mailbox (also see below). With month-to-month terms there is an activation fee for each new mailbox in any given month, and mailboxes are automatically discounted for volume purchases. "Closed" status. You may change the status of any mailbox to "closed" using your domain administrator. "Closed" mailboxes are inactive mailboxes that are billed at only $2/month plus the space they use (not quota), providing a convenient and inexpensive way for you to retain information in mailboxes at 01.com for mailboxes no longer in use. All other mailboxes and resources are counted and billed, except for your "wiki" (aka document sharing) account. First mailbox. Your first, "admin" (aka domain admin) mailbox is a billed mailbox. We recommend you use this mailbox, and you may change its name (most people do!). Your wiki mailbox is free-of-charge, including its first GB storage space (see below). Return to Top | Business vs. Personal Hosting Features Total Space (GB)Gigabytes (GB's) are the units by which we measure the total space reserved for your Mailboxes, including your mail, calendars, contacts, documents, attachments and briefcases. The total space you reserve for your mailboxes is also known as your total Quota. Your total Quota is calculated adding up the individual quota you assign to each of your mailboxes, and any space you may be using for Legal Compliance. Each month you are charged for the total quota you reserve for your mailboxes, and the actual space used by the archives of your accounts licensed for SOX Compliance, if any. For month-to-month terms GB are automatically discounted for volume purchases, and there is no activation fee. They are a flat, $12/year for annual terms. Your wiki@ mailbox's first GB of storage is included free-of-charge. Additional GB of storage used in your wiki@ mailbox are charged normally. Return to Top | Business vs. Personal Hosting Features ActiveSync (Zimbra Mobile)Free with annual terms, with month-to-month terms 01.com charges a small additional fee for each mailbox to which you'd like to synchronize an iPhone, Windows Mobile or Palm smart phone over-the-air (OTA), including mail, calendar and contacts. You may not order more Zimbra Mobile licenses than you have mailboxes! If you add more Blackberries and ActiveSync licenses together than you have mailboxes, the business hosting calculator will prioritize your Blackberry order, and subtract enough ActiveSync licenses to leave no more combined than your total number of mailboxes. For month-to-month terms, there is a setup fee for each ActiveSync license you order. Please note with Zimbra 5.0.x, while ActiveSync is enabled for all your mailboxes if you first select an annual term, if you initially ordered service with month-to-month terms, you will have to request Zimbra Mobile through our Help Desk for each mailbox on which you'd like it enabled. It is assumed that all iPhones, Windows Mobile and Palm devices have unlimited data calling plans. With month-to-month terms, ActiveSync mailboxes are automatically discounted for volume purchases. Email. You can always use a smart phone like a Treo or Windows Mobile devices to POP your email free-of-charge. ActiveSync enables additional sync options. iPhones. You can always use an iPhone's built-in safari web browser to get your mail, contacts and calendars free-of-charge using iZimbra, our Zimbra servers' built-in web site for iPhones. Free, you can also use the iPhone's built-in Mail.app mail client to sync your email over-the-air with IMAP securely to the 01.com Zimbra servers. ActiveSync, which requires v.2 enabled iPhones, provides additional, over-the-air sync to the iPhone's native iCal and AddressBook, and push email. Return to Top | Business vs. Personal Hosting Features Blackberry SyncingWhile you may POP from your Blackberry free-of-charge, 01.com charges extra fees for each Blackberry you would like to synchronize with your mailboxes. Our native Blackberry BES solution is currently in free public beta. We also use our own NotifyLink server to synchronize Blackberries. Please note with Zimbra 5.0.x, you will have to request Blackberry sync through our Help Desk for each account you'd like it enabled. It is assumed that all Blackberries have unlimited data calling plans. With annual terms, there is a flat, $99.99/year fee per blackberry, and with month-to-month terms there is an activation fee for each devices, and monthly fees for blackberry devices are discounted for volume purchases. Please note you don't need Blackberry Syncing for iPhones or other devices. Return to Top | Business vs. Personal Hosting Features Legal Compliance (Zimbra Archiving and Discovery)The license for Legal Compliance in the 01.com shared Zimbra hosting environment may have 3 cost components:
#3 will change each month, as your archives grow, however, unlike your Quota, you are not billed for the space you reserve, but instead only for the space in GB that you use for your archives. Please note with Zimbra 5.0.x, you will have to request Legal Compliance (A&D) through our Help Desk for each account you'd like it enabled. A flat $25 each with annual terms, with month-to-month terms, Legal Compliance licenses are discounted for volume purchases. Monthly TotalWith month-to-month terms, after your first 30-days of service, the Monthly Total is the price you pay each month for your services (mailboxes, total space, etc). as of the 28th of each month. With annual terms, the Monthly Total is your Annual Total divided by 12 for comparison sake. Annual TotalAfter your first 30-days of service, the prepaid annual price for your services (mailboxes, total space, etc). as of the 28th of the month. When you add services in any given month, the following month you will be charged prorated for those services through the end of your annual term. For example, if you add a mailbox after six months, the following month you will be billed for 6 months of one 12 month mailbox, or $24.99. With annual terms, the Monthly Total is your Annual Total divided by 12 for comparison sake. One-time TotalWaived for customers with annual terms, after your first 30-days of service, the activation, or one-time fee charged for using new services, other than space (GB), in any given month. There is no one-time fee for adding Total Space (GB), nor for closing or reopening mailboxes. See FAQ's.
